It as been reported by ABC News that a 19-year-old summer intern working at a factory affiliated with Foxconn Technology Group jumped from a six-story company dormitory early yesterday in Guangzhou, China.    The disturbing fact is that this is just one of a link of suicides that have been connected with Foxconn, which is a supplier to Apple, Inc., Sony Corp., Dell Inc., Nokia Corp. and Hewlett-Packard Co..

The story says that the intern was let go because he failed to show up for work for a couple of days.  Reports say that the intern, surnamed Liu, was let go on July 7 and the company was in the process of returning the student to his hometown.

Labor activists have blamed Foxconn's military style management and tough working conditions to the widespread number of recent suicides.
